Question: What's the rule with Gods and "God-Moding?"
Answer: Depending on the individual God and their individual powers, Gods can and will affect and take control of your characters through force or mere suggestion. Signing up for MF means that you understand this and are willing to cooperate with the deities. However, the Gods cannot kill any character or seriously harm them without the player's consent.
Question: What's the difference between the mortal and immortal realms?
Answer: While Gods may travel through both realms, mortal beings MAY NOT enter the immortal realm unless escorted by a deity.
Question: How can I become a God?
Answer: The only way for a wolf to transcend its mortality and become a lesser God is through completing a series of difficult tasks ordered by one of the three higher Gods. This is a rare event and you must receive special permissions to begin this journey.
Question: How can I become an Alpha?
Answer: There are only three ways to become an alpha. Currently, the only alpha males are the four canon characters; Erasmus, Phirixus, Charon and Bacchus. Their availability can be found here. Females can become alphas by becoming the mate of one of the four alpha males, and pups born to the alpha pair may become alpha in the future if named heir/heiress.
Question: What are the rules on breeding?
Answer: You cannot breed except for in the correct season. Females CANNOT be force bred. Females can whelp puppies without the permission of alphas, but alphas CAN kill puppies (with admin permission). Females must be pregnant for 2 weeks real time. Puppies must be kept in the den for 10 real time days. Mature breeding is not permitted.
Question: How are the stats of pups determined?
Answer: Admin will roll using an impartial roll generator to decide how many puppies are born/genders/colors, etc. Mother nature will then notify the parents on the litter information decided by the roll generator.
Question: How does hunting work?
Answer: As in real life, not all hunts are successful. Mother nature will notify you before the hunt begins as to whether or not you will succeed. As prey becomes scarce, hunts become less successful and the pack may need to hunt more frequently. Remember that at least 3 pack members must be present for a hunt, though more are needed for the largest of prey. Hunts should not take longer than 3 days real time.
Question: What role does Mother Nature play?
Answer: Mother Nature can affect mortal wolves in many ways. She determines the outcomes of hunts, matings and fights. In addition, she will oftentimes cause natural disasters which must be roleplayed through such as floods, tornadoes, forest fires, etc. You cannot avoid these catastrophes.
Question: What are the rules with fighting?
Answer: First off, remember that mortal wolves cannot fight Gods. It simply wouldn't be fair. With that in mind, no god-moding during fights. You must give the other play an opportunity to defend/dodge, etc. before you say something like, "Sari lunged for Arver's hind leg, jaws closing with impressive force as the brute's bone gave way with a sickening crunch." No one can escape a fight without some injuries sustained. be realistic. Mother Nature will determine the winner. You cannot kill another member's character without their permission.
