General Info:
Darkclaw Realms is a one of a kind rp site. Most sites either are swarming with beginners that have no idea how to get better at roleplay(much less how to roleplay at all), or are filled with advanced players who allow no beginners into their midst and have ridiculously large post minimums, Vindictive is here to give both levels a chance to improve. Beginners listen to the advice of advanced players as they rp, and the advanced players learn from each other. This roleplay site also allows for people to not roleplay divided, with the factor of the highly-debatable style of Horse-speak and wolf-speak eliminated. The characters in this roleplay will also develop like no other site will. Though many will die like in real life, it will get to where the squirrels can be almost human in their actions.
A specially accepted and trained staff crew is in the process of being developed, and we have an admin team that knows not only graphic design, but css and java as well and has enough time to manage it all. Politeness is enforced, and we pride ourselves in being a user friendly board with good manners all around.
Plot/Intro:
The middle ages are coming to an end, and a great epidemic sweeps the globe. Every human died of a disease that spread like wildfire over the total population. Tame horses, dogs, and cats all passed away from it, catching it from their masters. The only animals to survive were of the wild. The squirrels being one of them. They, unlike the rats and mice that thrived with the humans, then died with them as well, still lived and were now grouping together in North America. From Fox Squirrels to Red Squirrels, they fled Europe and most of Canada, the lands that were becoming populated by wolves and other predators, and grouped together. The forests that they lived in were mostly filled with nomad dreys... but eventually the idea of a human-like clan grew popular... though not all squirrels liked it. As most of the squirrels had come over already, some of them in boats with Europeans, many years ago, it was hard to convert some of the squirrels untouched by those ideas. But starting with the albino squirrel Martin, and going on from there, the forests were split up, and the lands were taken over by certain clans. As days progressed, they eventually began adapting things like humans would; taking milk from the stems of plants, establishing hierarchies, and occasionally walking up right. Would they grow to be creatures of human likeness? Or would the ways of an animal overcome that thinking? Only time will tell.
