Before the Clans came to the territories beside the lake, there was another group of cats living in the area. They are known as the Ancients, a group of cats that did not believe in StarClan. They lived on their own and hunted for themselves, sharing prey only if they had extra. However, a problem came to them, known as the Two-leg invasion. Two-legs started to invade on their land and prey became even scarcer than before on the moors where these cats were based. In the end, they realized that they had to leave the moors beside the lake where they had been for countless seasons. They headed into the mountains to form what the Clans know of the Tribe of Rushing Water. That is what happened as we know it, but what if, they never left?
CRUMBLED TIMES The Ancient cats never left the moors. They had tried to leave, but a majority went against the move and so it was decided that they should stay, to live out through the invasion of the Two-legs. Many cats thought they would all die, that staying in the moors would be the end of them. However, these cats stayed strong and they survived. Countless seasons later, they managed to drive out the badgers that lived in the pine forest nearby, but only because the badgers were starting to get restless. Things seemed to be going fine with the rise of a new leader known as Dying Eagle, but not everything is meant to last. These cats have faced many challenges and lived to see the next day, but their strength is about to be tested again in a way, they never thought possible.
AN ANCIENT CAT RPG The leader of the Ancients was woken up by the sound of one of the elders yowling in alarm. He padded out of his den to look up at the sky, to see something flying across the sky that made his jaw drop in astonishment. These cats had seen a falling star before, but not like this. This one was lower to the ground, closer to their sight and therefore bigger, but that was not the only thing that startled them. It was also a bright green, brighter even the leavers of trees in the sunlight. A shiver ran down the leader's spine as more cats came out of their dens to look up at the astonishing feature. A green residue was left in the star's path that fell to the ground and onto these cats. It would make the cats form weird morphs in the night and they would also obtain odd powers. That residue would effect the cats for generations and this will be a test that will put their strength to the test.
