the city is a hard place to live. ask anyone, they would easily agree. it's really no place for a stray. people. they were horrible creatures. but, at least they're gone now. i can't explain how they left the face of the earth, but it all started out with a simple cough. soon it moved to a runny nose, until you literally almost threw your guts up. it wasn't hard to watch, even if it sounded gross. and before our very eyes - they were gone. but if you thought that any one missed them, you were wrong. didn't they know we were sick of their stuffy lives? just face it, they were nothing close to that perfection that they faked.

you know it. they faked everything. love. passion. money. humor. smiles. they were fake. and since their stupid friends and family never understood that what they faked would never amount to anything real, i believed that they deserved to die in the first place. money. was that all they wanted? that green colored paper was so valuable to them? in fact, some killed for it. but, oh yes, they were gone now. i found it more fun to explore without them. free. were we really free? us canines could roam free. of course, there were other animals here, and there was enough water, food, and anything you could possibly need. so why was everyone still just the same as they were before the humans left? was it just the fact that we used people to blame on our failure?
